Workforce Development Strategy & Vision
Building the Workforce of the Future
In March of 2026, Greater Grant County invited over 70 local leaders from across the education, nonprofit, and industry sectors to attend the Workforce of the Future Summit—a focused, 2-day convening, designed to align our local workforce development strategy, facilitate cross-sector collaboration, and accelerate community action.
Attendees were given hyper-local workforce data, as well as detailed information about the new Indiana high school diploma work-based learning requirements, to build a shared understanding of Grant County's current needs and challenges.
Over the course of the summit, participants were led through a series of specific strategic visioning exercises and collaborative brain-storming sessions that were intentionally engineered to establish a clear, county-wide strategic direction for workforce and talent pipeline development.
Their hard work and vision-casting were used to construct a three-year strategic plan for workforce development in Grant County designed to build a sustainable talent pipeline that meets the needs of our current and future economy.
